Geomorphology and evolution of large landslides in volcanic islands

Large landslides and rock avalanches are quite destructive natural hazards. They were present in the evolution of many volcanic islands. We focus our interest in the geological recognition of large landslides and rock falls in the Canary Islands because they show a wide variety of examples. Some of these slides show new data of the constructive-destructive evolution of volcanic edifices. Other have a direct influence on the current evolution of landforms, e.g. coastal cliffs, ravines and mountain slopes.
