Antonio Ignacio Hernández Cordero
Antonio I. Hernández Cordero is professor of the Department of Geography of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Expert in geographic information systems (University of Andalusia in 2006) and PhD from the ULPGC (2012).
He has specialized in the study of the dune systems of the Canary Islands, especially in analysis of ecoanthropic factors that control the distribution of dune plant communities and their spatial patterns, the spatio-temporal dynamics of dune vegetation, as well as the environmental transformations of human activities, mainly tourism development, in dune environments.
The results of his scientific research have been published in 38 national and international scientific congresses, 16 book chapters, 1 book, 10 articles in national journals and 26 articles in international journals with an impact factor, and he has participated in 19 projects and contracts of research.
