Nicolás Ferrer Valero
Nicolás Ferrer Valero is a postdoctoral researcher (PIC), graduated in Geography from the Complutense University (UCM), Master from the University of Lisbon (UL) and PhD from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). He carried out his thesis on the coastal evolution of Macaronesian islands between 2014 and 2018 at the Institute of Oceanography and Global Change (IOCAG-ULPGC).
He has completed stays at the University of Helsinki, at the National Center for Research on Human Evolution (CENIEH) and at the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME-CSIC). He also has four years of professional career in private and public companies in the field of geographic information technology and environment. He is the author of several scientific papers and is currently involved in several regional and national R+D+i projects.
His interests and lines of work are focused on geomorphological evolution and regional landscape dynamics in oceanic archipelagos.
